[09 Aug 2005|06:30pm]

Since this is a community about a Japanese product, I felt it necessary to mention... Last Saturday was the 60th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, and August 9th (Today) marks the 60th anniversary of the Nagasaki bombing.

Hiroshima - Nagasaki LittleBoy - Fat Man 60 years ago, the United States of America used nuclear weapons during a time of war. The cost was devastating. Lives were lost, and the world has never been the same. NEVER AGAIN. We must NEVER use nuclear weapons again. Never again must we swat flies with a sledgehammer. Better yet, no more wars.

I'll be off to buy a GBA SP Pink Edition on Friday when it's released in the UK. I bought some accessories for it today, and on the back of my GC link cable box there's a photo of a purple GBA SP, which leads me to suspect that they’re not as rare as I thought they were. I'd much rather have a purple one (my favourite colour) above anything else. Pink is merely second best. Does anybody know how I could get my mitts on one? Is it exclusively Japanese?

I think I'll have buy a pink one anyway...

Gaming Conundrum [09 Aug 2004|01:32pm]

[ mood | curious ]

So here's the question....

I'm moving out, and a select amount of money is budgeted from my paycheque for games.  (I am such a nintendo whore....)  Nayway, I'm looking at buying for myself first, a TV/vcr system, and then pimping it up with some hardcore nintendo-y goodness.

So here's a question--what game system should I get?  I already have an SP and '64, and I'm wavering between a NES or a SNES, or if I really save a GC (because Zelda owns my soul and Windwalker looks sexy.)  Money is a bit of an issue, but not much of one, as I don't have (much) of a problem with saving.

So, internet monkeys, to which new demon should I sell my soul?

Apparently there's a FF I & II game being released for GBA. ^^ It's only in Japan yet, but perhaps it'll come here as well, albeit on a later date.
